BULK ACTIVATED CARBON & EQUIPMENT

PS Filter’s bulk carbon filtration equipment and systems are designed to remove contaminants, such as hydrocarbons and impurities, using chemical adsorption. Our filters are designed to maximize contact time throughout the media and increase effectiveness. These filters can be installed on the rich or lean amine side and will enhance your system performance.

Activated carbon is a versatile adsorbent that is applicable to gas and liquid phase filtration processes. Custom built for any process requirement, our filters reduce chemical costs in amine/glycol operations while helping you to meet water effluent targets. Our activated carbon filtration equipment is based on wood, coconut, or charcoal. Each type of carbon is high activity, low dust, and incorporates either high adsorption or transport pore structure.

REMOVAL OF VOCs

REMOVAL OF VOCs

Activated carbon can remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene, toluene, and more. VOCs are dangerous and can lead to health complications, such as eye and throat irritation and even damage to the central nervous system.

WATER PURIFICATION & FILTRATION

WATER PURIFICATION & FILTRATION

Similar to water treatment, our vessels house activated carbon which is designed to remove contaminants and impurities from water using chemical adsorption. Pollutants are trapped inside the pore structure of the carbon filter while the filtered water passes through and can be used for other purposes or reintroduced into the environment.

AIR & FILTRATION

AIR & GAS FILTRATION

Bulk activated carbon and filter vessels can be used to treat compressed air and gas for pipeline applications. After being pumped out of the ground, natural gas may be contaminated with pipe scale, iron sulfide, water, hydrocarbons, or other solid particulates. Filtering natural gas is necessary to increase its efficiency and make it suitable for sale on the market.
