Midstream (Transportation & Storage)

The midstream transportation sector involves the transportation (By pipeline, rail, barge, oil tanker or truck), storage, and wholesale marketing of crude or refined petroleum. Pipelines and other transport systems can be used to move crude oil from production sites to refineries and deliver the various refined products to downstream distributors.

Natural gas pipeline networks aggregate gas from natural gas purification plants and deliver it to downstream customers, such as local utilities. We have applications for coarse pipeline strainers (to reduce large contaminant damage), and high efficiency filtration to ensure a pipeline quality gas or liquid product to meet spec.

The midstream transportation operations are often taken to include some elements of the upstream and downstream sectors. The midstream transportation sector may include natural gas processing plants that purify the raw natural gas as well as removing and producing elemental sulfur and natural gas liquids (NGL) as finished end-products.

Applications for filtration in the gas processing loop include:

  • Inlet Gas/Separation/Coalescing
  • Amine Particulate Filtration
  • Glycol Particulate Filtration
  • Sales Gas Filtration
  • Amine & Glycol Carbon Adsorption

PS FilterĀ® has knowledge and experience to meet your critical requirements by optimizing gas processing operations to run more efficiently, safely and cost-effectively to reduce bottom line costs and increase profits by maximizing production and plant throughput.

Effectively Designed Filtration will reduce operational and maintenance time and costs, as well as chemical costs and reduced environmental footprint. For more information on midstream transportation and our processes, give us a call.
